Default 30% businesses considering next OS rather than Vista

It does not seem as if Microsoft's multimillion Vista ad campaign(s) are doing the company many favours - at least not in the business arena.

A new report shows that XP is still the favourite operating system for many businesses, and, even more worrying for the software giant, more would be willing to consider Windows 7 than Vista.

The Corporate IT Forum surveyed 44 businesses using Microsoft operating systems and found 58% of them were still using XP, with only 4% switching to Vista.

Over a third of respondents described themselves as "not yet interested" in Vista which just 14% considering changing, compared to the 30% looking to Windows 7, despite it being an unreleased, future product
