Buffalo Technology has launched what it's calling the fastest internal Blu-ray drive available on the market.

Aimed at "tech-savvy" consumers who want to upgrade a machine to read and write Blu-ray discs, the Blu-ray Internal Drive, or BR-816FBS, offers consumers Blu-ray write speeds of up to 8x, DVD write speeds of up to 16x, and CD write speeds of up to 48x.

Bundled with CyberLink’s Software Suite that will mean users can play HD movies stored on Blu-ray, record HD video content to Blu-ray, as well as burn and backup data to Blu-ray. Blu-ray drive is available from This website
