International Space Station catches virus
The International Space Station has caught a virus, NASA as confirmed on Wednesday 27 August 2008.
The virus known as Gammima. AG lurks on infected machines waiting to steal login names for popular online games in the Far East.
Hopefully not having the same effects as when Jeff Goldbum uploaded a virus, via floppy no less, to the invading aliens mother ship in Independence Day, NASA has said that no command or control systems were at risk from the malicious program.
Rather dull is that the laptops infected with the virus were really only used to run nutritional programs, let the astronauts periodically send email back to Earth and no doubt play space invaders.
